Overview

Lean Six Sigma combines the best practices of Six Sigma and Lean concepts.

Using Six Sigma methodologies enable teams to achieve radical process improvement and applying lean principles lead to waste reduction.

Lean Six Sigma is a proven business strategy that seeks to improve measurable results and to enhance the quality of process outputs by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and minimizing variability in business processes.

Lean Six Sigma is increasingly being used by organization to drive innovation, business growth, operational efficiency and service delivery.

Green Belts form the backbone and are a vital component to any successful Lean Six Sigma program. They support black belts, often lead projects independently and support their team of yellow belts.

Green Belts fulfil the requirement of a larger critical mass of trained professionals required to achieve breakthrough level results and culture change.

Processworks Green Belt training offers a challenging and robust curriculum. The goal is to develop high capability Green Belts.

Key Learning Outcomes

On completion of this course participants will be able to:

  • Understand Six Sigma and the DMAIC methodology
  • Understand Green Belt’s role in the success of a six sigma project
  • Define and be part of Lean Six Sigma projects
  • Use statistical tools for process improvement
  • Apply the DMAIC processes to business process
  • Identify the most significant input variables affecting the output of a process
  • Apply statistical analysis to determine the relationship between key inputs and process outputs
  • Characterize the equation y = f(x)
  • Close completed projects

Who Will Benefit?

This Course and the Certification is beneficial for anyone who wishes to understand and apply Six Sigma techniques.

The course content is industry and function independent. Professionals from any company and any business environment would benefit from the training.

The typical target group is Process Owners, Process Teams, Product Manager and Product Management Team, Quality Assurance Team Members, Senior Executives, Anyone who is part of a Six Sigma project, Six Sigma Yellow belts etc.

Training and Exam Duration

Training: 5 Days

The course material shall be issued on the first day of the course during registration.

Exam: Four-hour and fifteen-minutes duration

The exam is held separately from the training course at a computer based test centre.

Exam Pattern

The Lean Six Sigma Certification is a multiple choice exam.

The exam is closed-book, i.e. no materials are allowed to be used. candidates need a 70% score to pass the exam (questions are marked based on a difficulty level of 1-3).

Result and Certificate

Those who pass the exam will receive immediate preliminary results after finishing the exam. E-certificate will be available to download within 3 business days from sitting the exam.
