About the Program

ISTQB® Certified Tester – Mobile Application Testing (CT-MAT) is for all professionals working with mobile devices and applications. The ISTQB® Certified Tester – Mobile Application Testing (CT-MAT) shows you have insight into mobile device and mobile app testing methods, techniques, and tools.

Who should take the ISTQB® Certified Tester - Mobile Application Testing (CT-MAT)

Everyone concerned with mobile applications and mobile devices quality. This includes software testers of all levels, as well as test analysts, test engineers, test consultants, test managers, user acceptance testers, and software developers.

ISTQB® Certified Tester – Mobile Application Testing (CT-MAT) is also useful for anyone who needs awareness and knowledge of software testing for mobile devices and apps, such as project managers, quality managers, software development managers, business analysts, IT directors, and management consultants.

Pre-Requisites

A candidate aspiring to take Foundation Level Performance Testing is required to be certified in ISTQB Certified Tester Foundation Level (CTFL) or ISEB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
There are no pre-requisites to attending the course only for education and knowledge purposes.

Course Objectives

• Understand and review business and technology drivers for mobile apps in order to create a test strategy.
• Identify and understand the key challenges, risks and expectations associated with testing a mobile application.
• Apply test types and levels specific to mobile applications.
• Apply common test types, such as those mentioned in ISTQB® Certified Tester Foundation Level syllabus 2018, in the mobile specific context.
• Carry out the activities required specifically for mobile application testing as part of the main activities of the ISTQB® test process.
• Identify and use suitable environments and appropriate tools for mobile application testing.
• Understand methods and tools specifically to support mobile application test automation.

Training and Exam Duration

Training: 2 days

The course material shall be issued on the first day of the course during registration.

Exam: 60 minutes (1 hour) duration.

Exam Pattern

The ISTQB Mobile Application Tester exam is comprised of 40 multiple-choice questions, with a pass mark grade of 65% to be completed within 60 minutes.

Participants that take the exam not in their spoken language will receive additional 25% time, for a total of 75 minutes.
